I have been proud to operate my own website since joining the community in 2006—a remarkable journey spanning 19 years. During this time, I have become a cornerstone of the community through my various contributions and endeavors. However, as the industry has evolved significantly in recent years, I have decided to shift away from managing my own website and instead, use a third party service.
This change has been under consideration since 2023. At that time, I chose to continue investing my time, resources, and creativity into developing GK V3 alongside a web development company. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, this project was ultimately unsuccessful, resulting in a substantial loss. This experience prompted me to reassess the responsibilities associated with maintaining my own website.
Moving forward, I believe the best path is to expand my online presence through established platforms, as many self-made models and producers have successfully done. This shift will allow me to focus on what I am truly passionate about: creating content.
Below I will provide more details about this transition for those interested.
Adult Website Entrance Regulations and Verification Requirements
Over the years, the internet has evolved from a relatively unregulated "wild west" to a space with increasingly stringent rules. The standard website entrance process that many of you are familiar with is no longer acceptable in numerous countries and states. Many jurisdictions now mandate age verification through services that utilize ID or biometric data. Additionally, website entrance processes must often be customized to comply with regional regulations. These requirements significantly increase the responsibilities of running a site, with non-compliance risking not only shutdowns but also substantial penalties.
Limited Growth Potential
As a small business, I faced limitations in hosting additional artist and producer content due to economic thresholds set by various regions. Staying below these thresholds allowed me to avoid implementing costly digital tax software. This is why major clip platforms often include digital taxes—they exceed these thresholds. However, these thresholds are progressively narrowing, encompassing more businesses and making it increasingly difficult for small operations to continue without incurring higher expenses and administrative demands.
Rising Server Costs and Operating Expenses
In March, my server provider unexpectedly announced a 12% rate increase with no explanation, unless I locked in the current rate for a year. This follows multiple increases in recent years, resulting in my server costs being thousands more than they were just a few years ago. Unfortunately, these rising expenses are not limited to server costs; overall operating expenses for maintaining my own website continue to climb and show no signs of slowing down.
Time and Effort Required to Maintain My Own Website
Managing my own website has demanded an immense amount of time. From customer support to server responsibilities, migrations, and collaborations with artists and producers, and more, these tasks have often taken priority over focusing on my own content. While I genuinely enjoyed supporting fellow artists and producers—and earning a modest commission for doing so—it inevitably diverted time and energy away from my own creative pursuits. Additionally, my recent efforts to develop a new website involved extensive planning, meetings, design work, brainstorming, creating over 1,000 different product screenshots, and more, which further consumed my time.
Given these challenges, I can no longer justify the significant financial investment or the valuable time spent on the increasing responsibilities of managing my own website. The growing demands and rising costs in recent years have made it clear that a change is necessary.
Adult Content Regulations
Another concern which would be devastating to Giantess video producers and more is that I’ve been seeing a concerning number of bans on terms used to describe clips. So that naturally makes one wonder ok then… So how's it passable in the actual clip but not in the description? We are talking about terms that were allowed in prior years! If you read a description of clips a couple years or older at a clip site and there seems to be words just missing from it, this is probably why. This is alarming because it feels like a step in the direction of certain content that you can currently buy today, possibly getting banned altogether sometime in the future. So if I were to be in that spot someday I’d rather be behind the big sites who work very hard to protect and support all of their creators before **** hits the fan. That is why they have the content rules that they do, it’s in everyone’s best interest so that we can keep making a living producing content that remains acceptable by the card companies and evolving laws/regulations on adult websites and adult content. With this said I’ve recently taken an interest in filming for more fetishes in order to add more diversity to my products to protect my future since producing clips is how I make a living.
In July 2023, I sought advice from my then server company about finding a professional web development team, and they directed me to a list of recommendations on their website. Among them, I discovered a "Full Stack" Web Development Company that was adult content friendly. After an initial meeting, I decided to move forward, and we began work on the GK V3 website behind the scenes.
Early in the process, I realized I needed to dedicate more time than anticipated to the project, as the initial designs didn’t align with my vision. However, this wasn’t a major issue for me—I’m a creative professional with a keen eye for detail. I took on the challenge of photoshopping designs to guide the team, which allowed me to add a personal touch to the new site. It was rewarding to refine the designs further once I saw how they translated onto the live site. By December 2023, the designer informed me that their portion of the work was complete and that the next stage of the project would be handled by others on the team.
I was optimistic when they estimated the website would be ready in a few months. However, after sending an additional payment, progress stalled. Despite my patience and friendly inquiries, deadlines kept being pushed, and updates were minimal. Communications sounded promising, but results were lacking. Over time, I grew increasingly concerned, but I continued to extend understanding and patience, even as months passed without significant progress.
Their responses were always friendly, which kept me hopeful. I received messages like "pedal to the medal" with assurances that the project was moving forward. However, by early 2025, it became evident that the team was not delivering as promised. The manager even remarked, "looks like my work here is complete," leaving me bewildered, as the project was far from finished. The rest of the team failed to schedule meetings or provide updates.
After spending $12,000 and waiting since July 2023, I finally had a serious discussion with the project manager in February 2025. While I entered the conversation frustrated, I left feeling somewhat hopeful, believing that the project might finally move forward. Unfortunately, things sounded great but progress once again stalled. I found myself repeating the same instructions, resending information, and uncovering numerous issues—missing work, incorrect product details, reactivated items that were supposed to be deactivated, and more.
In hindsight, there were a few red flags early in the process, but I justified them, never imagining such an outcome. At one point, I even paid them for work on my current site that I ultimately had to complete myself.
Eventually, I enlisted the help of a highly experienced web developer to review the project. While the original company did provide the project files, they were uncooperative in answering questions or offering full support. The professional feedback I received on the project was far from reassuring.
When I shared this with my husband, he was understandably outraged. As a seasoned manager, he wanted to step in and demand accountability from the development team. While I appreciated his willingness to help, I doubted their ability to deliver on their promises, based on their history of saying one thing and doing another. I reached a point where the stress became unbearable—I simply could not handle working with them any longer. Yet, it’s deeply frustrating to know that $12,000 of our family’s money went to a company that left us with an incomplete project that’s in nearly the same state that it was over a year ago. The time I spent trying to salvage the situation only added to the loss.
Though this experience has been devastating at times, I’m doing my best to hold my head high, accept the loss, and move forward.
If you wish to see the state the site was in when I called the project off, I posted a video of it here and my design concepts below.
GK V3 finally officially launched through MMS on July 22nd, '25! 🥳🎆
